The East Bergholt Community Land Trust is a not-for-profit organisation based in the heart of Constable Country. Created in response to high house prices and the pressures of large-scale development, their mission is to provide affordable and sustainable housing for local people whilst preserving village heritage and community.
The Trust needed an engaging website to promote their project and attract residents, landowners, and potential investors. As their old website was no longer fit for purpose, we were brought in to manage a complete overhaul.
- Presentation of images for site
- Project management of the web design and build
With a large number of stakeholders involved, Creative Quills took the lead on project coordination. We used videoconferencing to meet with stakeholders to establish a unified vision for the site. We led a strategy session to identify key messaging and outcomes. We created a wireframe to map the structure of the new site and oversaw the development team during the build. After a literature review of all of the Trust’s publicised background material, we started work on the written content. The content amplified key messaging around affordability, sustainability and community-led development. Images were selected from the Trust’s catalogue that aligned with this messaging and highlighted the beauty of the village.
Projects involving numerous stakeholders can be challenging to navigate. The end result was a website that is sleek, engaging and makes information easily accessible to anyone looking to get involved in the project. With a unified strategy and oversight on design, content, and build, we delivered a site that will better support the long-terms goals of the Trust.
